Tim Stephens named OSEA State Employee of the Year! Tim Stephens was surprised Monday night during the School Board meeting with the OSEA State Employee of the Year. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tim Stephens with his selection as the OSEA State Employee of the Year. At the School Board meeting Monday night, OSEA State President Tim Stoelb and Zone Director Teri Jones joined Tim’s family with this surprise announcement. This prestigious award is given to one OSEA member each year whom exemplifies the hard work, dedication, good character and outstanding work performance. The nominated members are selected by a panel of past OSEA presidents. If you know Tim, this announcement is not a surprise. Tim is one of those employees whose work is often accomplished “behind the scenes,” however his impact benefits all students and staff. In the application his current supervisor stated it best; “Tim is a doer – Never have I hear him say “it can’t be done” but rather “this is how we make it happen”. Tim leads by example without hesitation and understands why we are all here. He know how his role ties to the District’s mission of assuring every student has an opportunity to excel. Hard working, intelligent, consistent, diligent, personally responsible, trustworthy, innovative, compassionate – all of these adjectives fall short on their own. However, collectively they pain a picture of this individual and his longstanding commitment to supporting excellence in education.” The next time you see Tim, please join me in congratulating him on this magnificent award! Thank you, Brett Yancey, Chief Operations Officer
